Meet the experts behind Relevant Ads
STEVE has been leading technology businesses for over a decade. Prior to Relevant Ads, he was General Manager of Oversee.net’s Registrar and Aftermarket business unit with operations in Los Angeles, Portland, and Pompano Beach. Steve was one of the early pioneers in Local Search at Overture and Yahoo! where he was VP and GM of the Local Search business unit. In this position, he and his team launched the world’s first pay-per-click advertising platform designed for local businesses. Steve has also held executive-level product, marketing and business development positions at Matrix Net Systems (acquired by Keynote Systems), eRealty (acquired by Prudential Real Estate) and Printrak International (IPO). Early in his career, Steve was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. Steve holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a MBA from Harvard Business School.

DAVID has been involved with high-technology companies for over a decade. David led technology development at Interchange Corporation, launching local.com which became the fastest growing local search destination hitting 4.4MM unique visitors in 3 months. Over 6 years, David held key senior positions at Interchange which IPO’d in 2004, raising $22MM. As a founding partner at Mail2World, he created an e-mail service, establishing its use to 6.5MM hosted mailboxes in 3 with clients ICQ, iVillage, EsMas and NetIdentity. David has appeared on CNBC and TechTV evangelizing Web-hosted software services. At PIMCO, the world’s largest manager of fixed income portfolios, David led the implementation of a high-capacity electronic exchange, which conducted over $1.2 trillion dollars in trades during its first year. David has also consulted as a Technical Analyst to Fortune 500 companies. David graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Southern California, as a Phi Kappa Phi scholar, and holds an MS degree in Biomathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Sr. Director of Client Care
NINAD has a background in operations, business development, and customer service. In his current position, he is responsible for increasing company efficiency through process development and procedural improvement. Ninad believes in teamwork and taking initiative in his role as inter-departmental liaison. He says, “I enjoy working with a variety of different people, with different personalities and from different backgrounds, to accomplish a common goal. It is one reason why I studied political science at UCLA and a major reason I enjoy my position at Relevant Ads.” Prior to Relevant Ads, Ninad was Director of Sales and Customer Service at School Loans Corporation where he worked with major national banks such as Wachovia and Bank of America.
Director of Product Operations
DEBRA is responsible for product operations, which includes the fulfillment/delivery of products purchased by clients. She supervises a team of 50 people. Debra moved into the digital sector in 1999 at Flycast Communications/Engage Media after a career in teaching. A founding employee at WebVisible, Inc., she initially served as an Account Manager and later was named Director of Creative Development. She was a columnist for Search Engine Land and the Director of Operations at MerchEngines/Deluxe Inc. Debra has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in History from UCSB, and a PhD in History from the University of Mississippi. She states, “I have always considered myself a student, regardless of the arena. Relevant Ads has been a terrific new school for me.”
ALICIA is responsible for monitoring sales and training new representatives. “I took it upon myself to set up a detailed tracking system and I really enjoy looking at the agents’ progress each day,” she states. Prior to Relevant Ads, Alicia held various retail and restaurant positions. “I learned the business importance of relationship building and customer service from these jobs,” she says. Alicia also worked as a Direct Advertising Account Coordinator in San Jose where she started to develop her passion for the advertising industry. When she moved to Orange County, Alicia started working for a different SEO company but soon found a better opportunity. Alicia comments, “Relevant Ads is a leader in the SEO industry and I knew it would be a better fit.” Alicia graduated with an associate’s degree in both marketing and liberal arts. She then earned her bachelor’s degree in advertising with a minor in business from SJSU.
